Great strides towards publication of EWRI/ASCE Standards were
accomplished at the Standards Development Council Meeting,
Chaired by Conrad G. Keyes Jr., at the recently held EWRI Council
Weekend. Several documents are moving towards publication and
many have been recently published.
- Regulated Riparian Model Water Code, EWRI/ASCE 40-03.
Thanks to the efforts of the Water Regulatory Standards
Committee, this standard has gone to ASCE Public Ballot and
could be published in the summer of 2003.
- Standard Practice for the Design and Operation of Precipitation
Enhancement Projects. This revised standard will go to ASCE
Public Ballot from May 1 to June 15, 2003 (Refer to this article for information to order a copy of the public comment form and
draft document).
- Measurement of Oxygen Transfer in Clean Water, ANSI/ASCE
Standard 2-91. The Oxygen Transfer Standards Committee plans to
take its revision of this standard to ASCE Public Ballot this year.
- A blue ribbon committee is reviewing the Appropriate Rights
Model Water Code for publication as an EWRI/ASCE Committee
Report by the Laws and Institutions Committee.
- NEW! Standard Practice for the Design and Operation of Hail
Suppression Projects, EWRI/ASCE 39-03. The standard was
completed by the Atmospheric Water Management Standards
Committee and published in mid April. Please order your copy

- The Comprehensive Transboundary International Water
Quality Agreement, EWRI/ASCE 33-01.
- Standard Guidelines for Artificial Recharge of Groundwater,
EWRI/ASCE 34-01.
- The Guidelines for Quality Assurance of Installed Fine-Pore
Aeration Equipment, EWRI/ASCE 35-01.
