Air Quality Committee Seeking Members The Air Quality Committee of the EWRI Environmental Council wishes to grow and would like your participation. The goals of the Committee include the exchange of information, publishing new literature, and conducting seminars/conferences on several hot topics in air quality. As air quality experts know, the US Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 brought significant changes in how we deal with air pollution and meet the national ambient air quality standards. The evaluation of air permits, compliance, and enforcement action are issues of great relevance for industrial and municipal facilities. Some possible topics of interest for your participation include: air regulation evaluation, global warming, air contaminant source evaluation, emission testing technologies, fate of air contaminants, control technologies, emission inventories, indoor air quality, and air modeling. The anticipated outcome of this group is to present papers at conferences, prepare a book/publication containing individual chapters about air permitting of various industries, and to work toward conducting a one or three-day workshop on air quality issues. If interested, please contact Jason Martin at jmartin@sehinc.com or S. Rao Chitikela at rchitikela@contactpsc.com to learn more about the committee. |
