As the incoming Communications Council Chair, I would like to say that I am proud to be serving the EWRI membership. EWRI has a great deal to offer environmental and water resource professionals and Currents is one of the best ways to get the word out. A big THANK YOU goes to Mike Buechter who has chaired the Council since 2000 and helped make Currents what it is today. He has done, and continues to do, a wonderful job working with EWRI members and staff to accomplish the goals of the publication.

The quarterly publication of Currents ensures dissemination of important news and information, stimulation of interest and participation in EWRI activities, and promotion of EWRI products, services, expertise, and accomplishments. The Communications Council will work to channel pertinent information from councils, committees, and members. At the same time, please send us any items that you feel are newsworthy. Whether it is an article, an idea for an article, or a tip to improve Currents, I want to hear from you.
