EWRI - WMA Hail Suppression Workshop

Hail causes billions of dollars in crop and property damage each year in North America. This workshop explores the potential for active intervention when damaging storms threaten, and reviews the newly-approved ASCE standard for such operations.

EWRI in conjunction with the Weather Modification Association (WMA), will conduct a workshop on the design, operation, and assessment of operational hail suppression programs on the afternoon of Friday, April 25, 2003 at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn. The workshop will use ASCE Standard 39-03, the Standard Practice For the Design and Operation of Hail Suppression Projects, as the basis for the workshop.
